About

Kyra L. Nourse

I earned my masters and Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and taught history, writing, and critical reasoning skills at the University of Pennsylvania and at Whitman College in Walla Walla, where I received the Robert Y. Fluno Award for Distinguished Teaching in the Social Sciences.

I've been an independent consultant since 2007. My clients include state agencies, non-profit organizations, prime contractors, businesses, scholars, and authors. I'm based in Olympia, Washington.

Expertise

I have experience and training in a variety of communication formats and assist clients with such projects as preparing reports and book manuscripts for publication, writing and editing journal articles, fact sheets, newsletters, guidance documents, and website content, and developing policy papers and presentations.

In addition to developing and editing content for print and digital media, I'm an experienced facilitator and project manager. For projects large and small, I have assisted clients to conduct online and in-person meetings and workshops, coordinate group tasks, gather input from stakeholders, and organize, develop, and document state-wide initiatives.
